Shortly after confirming the Oscar winner and country singer broke up following 20 years together, E! News learned that the pair’s decision to separate was one-sided.
Indeed, E! learned that Nicole did not want to part ways with Keith and has been trying to save the marriage since they opted to live apart in the beginning of the summer.
And those aren’t the only details that have been revealed about the duo’s breakup. E! also learned that, amid their separation, Nicole has been taking care of their daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, in their shared Nashville home, while Keith resides in a separate residence in the same city. He’s currently on tour and will next perform in Hershey, Pa., on Oct. 2.
