Boasting 17 miles of beaches, this island sits about 9 miles south of Rhode Island’s coast, and about 14 miles east of the tip of New York’s Long Island. Along with outdoor activities, you can visit two historic lighthouses on the island, as well as the aquarium at the Block Island Maritime Institute.
The largest of Georgia’s Golden Isles, St. Simons Island is known for its warm climate, beautiful beaches, and historical sites. The island also boasts a variety of restaurants and shops, plus miles of trails for biking and hiking.
